Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 14 August 2026

The short version. This website gives general information and lets you request a free case review. Using it does not make us your representative and nothing here is legal advice. Any numbers we show are estimates, not promises. If you want us to handle your claim, that happens through a separate written agreement.

1. Accepting these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and [LEGAL ENTITY NAME], doing business as Disabilift Advocates ("Disabilift", "we", "us"), covering your use of disabilift.com. By using the site or submitting a form, you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

2. This site is not legal advice

Everything on this site — the guides, the approval statistics, the frequently asked questions, the estimator — is general information about the Social Security disability process. It is not legal advice and it is not tailored to your situation. Disability claims turn on individual facts, and the rules change. Do not rely on this site instead of advice about your own claim.

3. No representation until there is a signed agreement

Submitting a form, calling us, or speaking with an advocate does not by itself make us your representative. We become your representative only when both of us sign a written representation agreement and the required appointment forms are filed with the Social Security Administration.

Until that happens, information you send us is not protected by attorney-client privilege. Please do not send confidential material you would not want disclosed.

Deadlines do not pause while you wait to hear from us. Social Security appeal deadlines are strict — generally 60 days from the date on a decision letter. We are not responsible for any deadline you miss before we formally take on your claim. If a deadline is close, act to protect it yourself, including by filing an appeal directly with the SSA.

4. We are not a government agency

Disabilift is a private company. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of the Social Security Administration or any other government agency. You may apply for benefits yourself, free of charge, at ssa.gov.

5. No guaranteed outcome

No one can guarantee a disability claim will be approved. That decision belongs to the Social Security Administration and its administrative law judges. Statistics on this site describe general outcomes; they say nothing about what will happen in your case. Past results do not predict future results.

6. Who may use this site

You must be at least 18 and located in the United States. If you are submitting information on behalf of someone else — a parent, spouse, or a person you care for — you confirm you have their permission or the legal authority to do so.

When you tick the consent box and submit a form, you agree that Disabilift and the advocates or law firms we work with may contact you at the phone number and email address you provided. That includes calls and text messages sent using automated dialling systems and prerecorded or artificial voice messages, and it applies even if the number is on a state or federal Do Not Call list.

Consent is not a condition of receiving any service — you can always call us instead. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Reply STOP to any text to opt out, or HELP for help. You can withdraw consent at any time by telling any caller or emailing support@disabilift.com.

Your interaction with our forms is recorded by Jornaya and TrustedForm to document the consent you gave. Section 5 of the Privacy Policy explains this.

8. Information you give us

You agree that what you tell us is true and complete as far as you know, and that you will update us if it changes. We rely on it to decide whether we can help. Giving false information can damage a claim, and in some circumstances providing false statements to the Social Security Administration is a federal offence.

9. The benefit estimator

The estimator on this site applies the Social Security benefit formula to figures you enter. It is a rough illustration only. It is not a quote, a promise, or a prediction of what you will receive. Your actual benefit, if any, depends on your complete earnings record, your established onset date, your work credits, other income, and decisions made solely by the Social Security Administration. Do not make financial decisions based on it.

10. Fees

We charge nothing to review your case, and nothing unless your claim is approved and you receive past-due benefits.

If your claim succeeds, a representative's fee is paid out of your past-due benefits and is capped by federal law — currently the lesser of 25% of past-due benefits or a fixed maximum set by the Social Security Administration. The fee must be approved by the SSA. Your continuing monthly benefits are not touched.

Some out-of-pocket costs, such as fees charged by doctors or hospitals for copies of records, may be your responsibility. The exact terms will be set out in your representation agreement, which governs if it differs from this page.

11. Our content

The text, design, graphics, photographs and code on this site belong to Disabilift or its licensors and are protected by copyright and trademark law. You may read and print pages for your own personal use. You may not copy, republish, scrape, or use our content or branding commercially without our written permission.

12. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

We may block access or refuse service to anyone who breaks these rules.

13. Third-party links

We link to outside sites, including ssa.gov, for convenience. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, accuracy or privacy practices.

14. Disclaimer of warranties

The site is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that its content is accurate, complete or current.

15. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Disabilift and its officers, employees and contractors are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost benefits, lost profits or missed deadlines, arising from your use of this site. Our total liability for any claim relating to the site is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for use of the site, which is nothing, or one hundred US dollars.

Some states do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you. This section does not limit liability for our own fraud, gross negligence or wilful misconduct, or any liability that cannot be limited by law. It does not affect the terms of a signed representation agreement.

16. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify Disabilift against claims, losses and reasonable legal costs arising from your breach of these terms, your misuse of the site, or information you submit about another person without their permission.

17. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of [STATE], without regard to conflict of law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in [COUNTY, STATE], and you consent to that jurisdiction.

Before starting a formal dispute, please contact us at support@disabilift.com so we can try to resolve it. Most problems are fixed with a phone call.

18. Changes

We may update these terms. The "Last updated" date shows when. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the new terms. If you do not agree, stop using the site.
